btc is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their communities.

Our Santa Barbara btc calendar operating year runs May 1 - April 30. Our website will be open to prospective new members (graduating classes 2025-2030) March 4th to March 11th, 2024. Please complete the Prospective Member App during that time frame.

Before you complete this form, please note that all active members are required to meet the following each year:

Hours Requirements:
- Minimum Philanthropy Service Hours requirements for both boys and parent(s), hours must be served with three different philanthropies:
Grade 7, 8, & 9........................15 hours each
Grade 10, 11, & 12..................10 hours each
- Minimum League Hours requirements for both boys & parent(s): 6 hours minimum each (earned by attending general or grade level meetings)

Volunteer requirements: btc is a volunteer organization that is operated by parent volunteers. Parents are expected to participate as a volunteer in some capacity during your years in btc.

Financial Requirements: The Santa Barbara league has set annual membership for $175 for the first son and $75 for each additional son.

To be eligible for membership in the Santa Barbara League, you must live in OR attend schools located in either the Santa Barbara High School or San Marcos High School boundary areas.

New btc members are selected by a random draw. btc membership is reviewed on an annual basis.

An Intent to Sponsor Form must be completed by your sponsor to be eligible for the Draw and subsequent (if any) waitlists. All applicants will be contacted by a VP of Membership following the draw.

If you are placed in a class, you will need to complete the required enrollment forms and pay your annual dues to finalize the membership process.
